Lunch with P again! Another Cheap Eats Guide find - this is actually right next to Le Traiteur, so many good lunch places at this lawyer end of the city!

What a cute little cafe! There are Tin Tin books on the shelf by the window! =)

And there's a Backgammon game under our table! We wanted to play while we wait for our food but we don't know how to play =P

This was on our table... think there's only 2 teaspoon of sugar in it? haha how cute.

I wanted the Pork & Veal Meatballs with Tomato Sugo & Crusty Bread $10.50 since I had heard this was good from other bloggers =)

Pork & Veal Meatballs

Mmm meatballs! Lots of herbs in "sugo" which is an Italian tomato juice, kinda like a bolognaise but more watery. P said it felt like it was missing some spaghetti =P But I thought it was very tasty with the crusty bread soaking up the tomato sugo =) Just thought it was missing some shaved parmesan cheeese! =P

P wanted the Salmon Terrine with Basil Mayo & Salad but they ran out for the day =( So he asked the waiter what was good and he suggested Pan Seared Flathead Tails with Rocket, Kipfler & Tartare $16.00 He said he's not suggesting it 'cause it's expensive, but 'cause it's actually good =P

Flathead Tails

And yes it really was tasty! The flathead was very fresh and well worth the $16! The rocket was also very fresh and went very well with the tartare sauce. Too bad the serving wasn't very big - lucky P wasn't too hungry =P

Pork & Veal Meatballs - 7.5/10 - full of flavour, if only they sprinkled some cheese over the top =)

Pan Seared Flathead Tails - 7/10 - very tasty, but a little bit small =(

2/5 - We sat right next to the counter so the people (many lawyers) coming in to order would be standing right next to us, a little bit claustrophobic - it would have been better if we got a table inside.

2/5 - you order and pay at the counter, and the table was full of bread crumbs when we sat down. But the food came quickly =)
